Additional Information for Counseling/Therapy Clients Only

Payments
I accept payment for counseling at the beginning of each session by cash, check, or credit card. You may also submit your payment online prior to your session. A fee of $30 will be charged for any returned (NSF) checks. Due to the nature of my practice, court reports, depositions, and/or court appearances are not possible. If these services become mandatory however, there will be a $350/hour charge.

Making the Decision
The decision to initiate therapy is an important one and I offer a free 20-minute consultation appointment to help you decide if working with me will meet your needs. Ongoing counseling services are available in person or over the telephone to residents of Colorado and Washington State only.

Insurance
My counseling services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I am an “out-of-network provider” for most insurance purposes. Upon request, I will provide you with a statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information on matters related to insurance reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy
I require a 24-hour notice for cancellation or rescheduled appointments. When you make an appointment with me, it is time I reserve just for you. If you do not show up, or cancel without adequate notice, you’ve taken an available time slot away from another client who needs my services.

Cancellations with less than 24-hour notice and no-shows will be charged a $75 Cancellation Fee. Please note insurance companies will not reimburse for missed sessions. If you are late for a session, you will be given the time remaining in your hour, and will be charged the full rate.

In the Client’s Words…
